Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Underground Pipe Layer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing pipelines, sewer systems, and other underground utilities. Your expertise will ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct installation and repair of underground utilities.
• Excavate trenches and ensure accurate pipe installation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and team members.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Document daily work reports and material usage.
• Assist in the training of junior staff.
• Coordinate with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in underground construction.

Technical Skills

• Trenching and pipe laying
• Health and safety standards

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with pipe inspection technology: Familiarity with modern inspection technology for underground pipelines.
• Knowledge of site health regulations: Understanding of health and safety regulations for construction sites.
