Job Description

As a Gem and Diamond Worker, you will refine and enhance the appearance of diamonds through precise polishing techniques. Your attention to detail will ensure that our diamonds shine to their fullest potential. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate closely with gemologists to achieve exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Keep detailed records of production processes and results.
• Assist in training junior staff on polishing techniques.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss quality and productivity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Report any operational issues promptly to the management.

Requirements

Education

• No formal educational requirements, but relevant certifications or apprenticeships are advantageous.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Experience

• Prior experience as a diamond polisher or in a similar role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of automated polishing systems
• Experience with CAD software

Soft Skills

• Time management skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with fancy shaped diamonds (e.g., princess cut, emerald cut): Knowledge of various diamond shapes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automated polishing systems: Helps streamline the polishing process.
• Knowledge of gemstone setting techniques: Experience in setting diamonds is a plus.
