As a Paraprofessional Interpreter, you'll assist professional interpreters in various settings, interpreting conversations and documents accurately between English and other languages. This role is crucial in facilitating effective communication for individuals with limited English proficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time interpretation services during client engagements.
  • Assist in developing guidelines for increasing operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with professional interpreters and clients.
  • Support the training of new interpreters as required.
  • Collaborate in creating a resource library of useful terminology and guides.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for interpretation services.
  • Conduct client satisfaction surveys and report findings.
  • Adapt to various settings to meet the needs of different interpreting assignments.
  • Assist in quality assurance of interpretation tasks.
  • Document and report any ethical concerns or issues encountered.
Job Requirements
  • Paraprofessional interpreter training or certification
  • Fluency in English and the target language Proficient in English and another language, facilitating seamless communication.
  • Use of interpretation software tools Familiarity with tools used for effective interpretation.
  • Strong oral communication skills Ability to convey messages clearly and accurately.
  • Cultural sensitivity Understanding and respecting cultural differences.
  • Attention to detail Ensures all interpretations are accurate and contextually appropriate.
  • Strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure Maintains composure and professionalism in high-stress environments.
  • English (Fluent)
