Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Lift Truck Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating lift trucks safely and efficiently, transporting materials and products while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various lift trucks to manage the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of lift trucks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Accurately input inventory data using handheld devices or computer systems.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
  • Participate in safety training and workshops as required.
  • Assist in the training of new lift truck operators.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area and truck storage zones.
  • Help in loading and unloading deliveries from transport vehicles.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff to resolve workflow issues.
  • Ensure the proper handling of hazardous materials according to safety procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid lift truck operator certification
Experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating a variety of lift trucks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
