Job Description

As a Nuclear Engineer, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of nuclear reactors, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and protocols. This role involves developing strategies to enhance reactor performance and implementing safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety assessments and risk analysis of nuclear operations.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of safety equipment.
• Evaluate and propose technological advancements to enhance reactor safety.
• Implement training programmes for staff on radiation safety and emergency procedures.
• Work with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Review and update safety protocols based on the latest industry standards.
• Facilitate communication between various internal departments regarding safety practices.
• Conduct regular audits to assess safety compliance and report findings.
• Participate in the investigation of safety incidents and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or relevant field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in nuclear energy roles with a focus on safety and compliance
