Geospatial Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Technician to collect and analyse spatial data to support our GIS projects. You will work closely with our dynamic GIS team to produce high-quality maps and visual representations that inform decision-making across various initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geospatial data gathering through field surveys and remote sensing.
• Utilize GIS software to analyse land use patterns and produce actionable insights.
• Create user-friendly graphical representations of complex geospatial data.
• Maintain meticulous records of data collection processes and results.
• Engage in problem-solving discussions to enhance data collection and analysis techniques.
• Support the GIS team in project planning and execution to meet tight deadlines.
• Integrate and manage data from various sources into GIS platforms.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Geography, Geomatics, or a related field preferred

Experience

• Experience in conducting spatial analysis and producing maps is highly desirable

• SQL

• Remote Sensing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
