Job Description

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, you'll play a critical role in providing mental health support to individuals, couples, and families facing emotional challenges. Your expertise will guide clients in exploring their feelings, developing coping strategies, and achieving meaningful personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family counseling with a focus on improving mental health outcomes.
  • Develop personalized treatment strategies based on clients' specific needs.
  • Engage in active listening and provide constructive feedback during sessions.
  • Assist clients in identifying their goals and support them in achieving those objectives.
  • Educate clients on mental health issues and promote approaches for improvement.
  • Document session notes and treatment plans while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Participate in case reviews and inter-disciplinary meetings to discuss client progress.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and research in the field of mental health.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness of mental health resources.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards in counseling practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or similar
  • Master's degree in Counseling preferred
Experience
  • Experience in therapeutic settings is preferred. Entry-level applicants may be considered based on relevant internship experience.
