Aquatics Specialist

Job Description

As an Aquatics Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of aquatic operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You will lead a team of skilled lifeguards and instructors, providing training and support to help deliver high-quality aquatic programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of aquatic activities and staff.
• Implement safety procedures and conduct safety drills on a regular basis.
• Assist in developing swimming programmes tailored to community needs.
• Maintain effective communication with patrons regarding facility updates and changes.
• Coordinate special events and competitions to engage the community.
• Conduct staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Encourage a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the facility.
• Collaborate with local schools to provide swimming lessons.
• Evaluate and improve existing aquatic programmes based on participant feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Valid lifeguard certification
• Additional certifications in aquatic training desirable
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in aquatics management with supervisory experience.
