As an Underground Mining Machine Operator, you will be tasked with operating and maintaining heavy machinery crucial for excavation activities. Your expertise will ensure that our mining operations run smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery safely and effectively to complete site excavation tasks.
• Monitor machinery functions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean work area to promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Keep detailed records of operations and report to site supervisors.
• Participate in safety trainings and workshops to enhance skills.
• Assist in training less experienced operators on machinery usage.
• Perform physical inspections and maintenance on machines consistently.
• Adapt to changing work conditions and operational demands.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in a mining or construction setting.

Technical Skills

• Machinery maintenance
• Health and safety regulations

Soft Skills

Certifications

• CPCS or NPORS certification for excavators

Languages

• English: Fluent
