Job Description

This position requires an individual with a compassionate and caring nature to provide companionship and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in maintaining personal hygiene and dressing.
• Facilitate social interactions to enhance emotional well-being.
• Prepare light meals and assist with eating when necessary.
• Assist clients with medication management and reminders.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure a safe living environment.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean home.
• Participate in care planning with healthcare providers and family.
• Document daily activities and changes in health status.
• Provide companionship and moral support.
• Encourage independence while providing necessary assistance.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required but a healthcare or social care diploma is advantageous.

Experience

• Experience working with the elderly or those with disabilities is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• First Aid Certification
• Documentation skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in palliative care: Prior experience working in palliative care is highly regarded.
• Additional language skills: Ability to communicate in more than one language is beneficial.
