Join our team as a Vegetable Harvest Worker! You will be responsible for harvesting a variety of vegetables while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. This role requires physical stamina and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine seed quality evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document and communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
• Utilise data analysis tools to interpret seed test results.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance production efficiency.
• Manage laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
• Prepare reports and presentations highlighting testing methodologies and outcomes.
• Engage with suppliers to source quality seeds for testing.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the seed testing process.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Agriculture, Horticulture or relevant field

Experience

• Experience in seed testing and quality control is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Seed Production
• Laboratory Management Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO certification for seed testing: Familiarity with ISO standards and practices relevant to seed testing.
• Understanding of molecular genetics and DNA sequencing: Knowledge of genetic testing methodologies in seed quality.
• Experience with crop breeding and plant genetics: Experience in research related to crop breeding techniques.
