Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Freight Coordinator to manage and optimise our logistics processes. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth operation and timely deliveries, making logistics run like clockwork.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of freight movements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for shipments, including invoice and manifests.
Conduct regular audits of freight operations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Collaborate with the warehouse and distribution teams for seamless operations.
Negotiate freight rates and terms with transport providers for cost savings.
Analyze logistics data to identify improvement potentials and efficiencies.
Attend meetings and contribute to logistics strategy development.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Experience
3+ years of experience in logistics management or freight coordination.
Technical Skills
Expertise in freight management software
Financial acumen related to logistics and freight
Soft Skills
Excellent organisational skills
Team player with leadership qualities
Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Certifications in logistics management or supply chain: Possession of relevant logistics certifications is a plus.
