A Burial Vault Setter plays a vital role in preparing gravesites and ensuring the proper placement of burial vaults. This position requires a compassionate approach when interacting with grieving families and a keen eye for detail in alignment and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain gravesites for burial services.
  • Ensure precision in aligning burial vaults for proper placement.
  • Support the lowering of caskets while adhering to safety practices.
  • Oversee the sealing of vaults to ensure durability.
  • Keep the cemetery grounds tidy and well-maintained.
  • Assist in logistical planning with funeral service staff.
  • Provide compassionate support to families during the burial process.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all vault placements.
  • Notify management of any site maintenance or equipment issues.
