Public Health Officer

Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing policies and programs aimed at improving community health. You will work closely with healthcare partners and stakeholders to promote health education, disease prevention, and health promotion strategies.

Responsibilities

• Establish partnerships with local organisations to enhance health initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance to community health projects.
• Develop public health education materials.
• Participate in routine inspections of public health facilities.
• Attend community meetings to represent health interests.
• Monitor compliance with public health regulations.
• Evaluate programme effectiveness and report findings.
• Keep abreast of new public health research and methods.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in community health or public health

Certifications

• Public Health Specialist Certification
