Job Description

We are seeking an Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing urban spaces and improving the quality of life for residents. You will work closely with city officials, developers, and community groups to bring about positive change, ensuring that urban areas are sustainable and functional for current and future generations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive plans that articulate a vision for urban development and land use.
  • Engage with the community through public meetings and workshops, gathering feedback to guide planning efforts.
  • Work in conjunction with environmental consultants to ensure all projects comply with sustainability criteria.
  • Draft and review planning documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to local regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new developments and assess their potential impacts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of urban planning trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning or similar is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in urban planning or related fields
