Job Description

As a Mental Health Nurse in Aberdeen, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Your role will include assessing patients, providing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' mental health conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Engage in therapeutic communication to build rapport with patients.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
  • Work alongside social services to coordinate patient support.
  • Lead educational sessions for patients and their families.
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Nursing or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health is an advantage

  • 3+ years in mental healthcare settings
