Bioprocess Development Engineer

Job Description

As a Bioprocess Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in our R&D team, enhancing bioprocess technologies and ensuring their successful implementation. You should have a background in Chemical Engineering or a related field and be ready to tackle complex challenges in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop new methodologies for bioprocess optimization.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
• Oversee the scale-up of processes from lab to production.
• Evaluate and select appropriate bioreactor technologies.
• Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to facilitate audits.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop training materials for new processes.
• Review and enhance laboratory safety protocols.
• Contribute to scientific publications and presentations.

Advantageous

• PhD in Bioprocess Engineering or related field: Advanced degree demonstrating expert knowledge and research ability.
• Experience in scale-up and technology transfer of bioprocesses: Hands-on experience transitioning processes from lab to large-scale production.
• Pilot Plant Operations Experience: Experience in operating pilot plants in a biopharmaceutical setting.
• Familiarity with regulatory submissions: Understanding of FDA/EMA requirements for biopharmaceuticals.
