Job Description

As a Rural Health Consultant, you will assess healthcare needs in rural communities, develop tailored strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve health outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing initiatives and programmes that address the unique challenges faced by rural populations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assessments of healthcare facilities and services in rural areas.
  • Develop partnerships with community leaders and organisations for successful programme implementation.
  • Prepare and present reports on program progress and outcomes to management.
  • Facilitate workshops on rural health strategies for healthcare stakeholders.
  • Maintain records of health assessments and outcomes.
  • Support grant writing efforts to secure funding for health initiatives.
  • Establish metrics to measure the impact of health programmes.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to increase awareness of available services.
  • Stay updated on the latest healthcare policies related to rural health.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health or Healthcare Management (preferred)
Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience working in rural health settings
