Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Setter and Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various woodworking machines such as lathes and routers, with a focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various woodworking machines, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain standards.
  • Assist in training new operators on machine setups and operations.
  • Help optimise workflow processes and reduce waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Keep detailed logs of machine operations and settings.
  • Work with engineering teams to modify machines for special tasks.
  • Report any machinery malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to assist in different production areas as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certification in woodworking or machinery operation is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating woodworking machinery.
