Job Description

Join us as an Interlocking Tower Operator and play a crucial role in ensuring the safe movement of trains. You'll coordinate train operations, respond to emergencies, and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee train scheduling and dispatching processes.
• Monitor the condition of signaling equipment and report issues promptly.
• Conduct regular safety checks of the interlocking system.
• Liaise with emergency services as needed during incidents.
• Train new operators on procedures and best practices.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanour during high-pressure situations.
• Utilise computer-based systems for operations management.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and report suggestions.
• Ensure effective communication with ground staff during train operations.
• Document daily activities and incidents for compliance purposes.

Requirements

Education

• Valid certification or license as an Interlocking Tower Operator

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interlocking Tower Operator

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of train signaling systems
• Proficiency in using interlocking control systems
