Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about innovative design and engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and be proficient in CAD software. You will work closely with teams to develop, test, and refine mechanical designs for diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and stakeholder presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in mechanical principles.
• Identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.
• Conduct market research to align designs with industry needs.
• Ensure environmental standards are met in design practices.
• Coordinate with electrical and software engineers for integrated solutions.
• Manage project timelines and report on progress and challenges.
• Utilise 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in preparing budget estimates and labour cost forecasts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Advanced degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role
