Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Travel Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service and expert advice to clients regarding their travel plans. The role involves assisting clients in making travel arrangements, creating itineraries, and ensuring a smooth travel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences to craft personalized travel itineraries.
  • Research destinations, travel restrictions, and current events that may impact travel plans.
  • Offer insights on travel insurance options and assist clients in selecting suitable plans.
  • Utilize travel booking systems to make reservations and adjustments as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay informed about promotions and deals from various travel suppliers.
  • Attend travel expos and industry-related events to network with suppliers and gain knowledge.
  • Provide training and support for junior team members as required.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials to promote travel packages and services.
  • Foster a positive team environment that prioritizes collaboration and collective success.

Requirements

Education
  • A qualification in Travel and Tourism or related field is desirable.
Experience
  • Experience in the travel industry with a strong emphasis on customer service is essential.
Technical Skills
  • Fluency in additional languages

  • Experience in using travel booking systems: Familiarity with tools like Amadeus or Sabre enhances the candidate's profile.
