Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe work environment by implementing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to employees.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a comprehensive health and safety program.
• Support department managers in developing safety performance objectives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements.
• Conduct training on emergency preparedness and response.
• Collect, analyse and report on safety metrics and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external health and safety audits.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation.
• Assist in accident/incident investigations.
• Promote employee engagement in health and safety activities.
• Support the integration of health and safety into business processes.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualification in health and safety management.

Experience

• Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies.
