Job Description
As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe work environment by implementing safety regulations, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to employees.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain a comprehensive health and safety program.
Support department managers in developing safety performance objectives.
Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements.
Conduct training on emergency preparedness and response.
Collect, analyse and report on safety metrics and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with internal and external health and safety audits.
Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation.
Assist in accident/incident investigations.
Promote employee engagement in health and safety activities.
Support the integration of health and safety into business processes.
Requirements
Education
Relevant qualification in health and safety management.
Experience
Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies.
