Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our team in Coventry. In this role, you will design and implement structural solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of a range of construction projects.
• Prepare specifications and tender documents for procurement.
• Review and approve designs and calculations submitted by junior staff.
• Coordinate and liaise with cross-functional teams to enhance project delivery.
• Implement best practices in project management and engineering.
• Assess and resolve site-related issues as they arise.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• BIM Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of structural software packages: Experience with software such as Tekla structs for modelling.
• Experience in consulting engineering environments: Background in working as a consulting engineer on various projects.
