Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Leicester. The successful candidate will provide exemplary medical care to our animal patients, from routine check-ups to complex surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform consultations with pet owners regarding their animal's health.
• Conduct routine dental procedures and vaccinations.
• Maintain and operate medical equipment and instruments.
• Support the ongoing training of veterinary nurses and support staff.
• Engage with local community outreach programs to promote animal health.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
• Contribute to the fostering of a positive workplace environment.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in surgery or internal medicine are advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of veterinary practice experience

• Anaesthesia management

Certifications

• Advanced Veterinary Technician Certification
• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
