Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Tombstone Setter to enhance our team. In this role, you will work closely with families, providing guidance during the placement of memorials, ensuring alignment, and performing regular maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all tombstones are correctly aligned and levelled according to specifications.
• Communicate effectively with families to address any concerns regarding memorial placements.
• Utilize excavation tools to prepare sites for tombstone installation.
• Conduct routine checks to assess the condition of existing tombstones.
• Promote a respectful environment, upholding the dignity of the services provided.
• Collaborate with team members to handle multiple installations as required.
• Keep records of installations and any maintenance performed.
• Assist in operating machinery for larger installations.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cemetery regulations: Understanding of local bylaws and guidelines pertaining to burial sites.
• Experience operating heavy machinery: Familiarity with tools and equipment used in cemetery maintenance.
