Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose and treat health problems.
• Perform surgeries and follow up on post-operative recovery.
• Administer anaesthetics and monitor animals during surgical procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to veterinary nurses and support staff.
• Engage with pet owners to discuss treatment options and aftercare.
• Conduct routine health checks and preventative medicine.
• Stay informed on current veterinary legislation and practices.
• Participate in community outreach and educational programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in veterinary medicine is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' clinical experience in veterinary practice

Certifications

• ACVAA or equivalent certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in emergency and critical care: Proven experience in handling emergency veterinary situations.
