Childcare Worker

Job Description

As a Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for the supervision and well-being of children under your care. You will create a safe and engaging environment while encouraging their development through fun activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children are engaged in enriching games and educational activities.
• Provide support during group activities and encourage teamwork.
• Help children with personal care routines and hygiene practices.
• Plan and facilitate seasonal and special events for the children.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to children.
• Review safety protocols and implement them daily.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Studies preferable

Experience

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 is an advantage.

Certifications

• Safeguarding Children Training
• Paediatric First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of educational frameworks: Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Experience in outdoor education: Experience with outdoor activities or forest schooling.
