Cinema Projectionist

Job Description

As a Cinema Projectionist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining projection equipment to ensure a high-quality viewing experience. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for cinema.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test equipment before each screening session.
• Adjust image and sound settings to achieve high-quality presentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during screenings for immediate resolution.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure all equipment remains in top-notch condition.
• Assist in training new staff in projection operation and maintenance.
• Foster a positive cinema experience through effective customer interaction when needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in health and safety regulations is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years in a technical role related to audio-visual equipment

Technical Skills

• Technical aptitude
• Digital and analog projection knowledge

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure
• Customer service skills

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of the film industry: Understanding of current film trends and releases to better engage with patrons.
