Job Description

As a Marine Environmental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the conservation of our marine environments. This position requires expertise in environmental science and a passion for marine protection. You will be responsible for conducting research, assessing environmental impact, and advocating for sustainable policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assessments of the marine environment and biodiversity.
  • Assess the conditions of marine habitats and identify threats.
  • Advocate for sustainable marine policies through research findings.
  • Collaborate with researchers on marine ecosystem studies.
  • Engage local stakeholders in discussions about conservation efforts.
  • Develop reports detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Organise events to raise awareness about marine issues.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for marine conservation.
  • Work with teams to create conservation action plans.
  • Monitor ongoing marine conservation projects and evaluate their success.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology or Environmental Science
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

  • 5+ years of experience in marine conservation projects
