Cordwood Cutter

Job Description

As a Cordwood Cutter, you will play an essential role in our forestry operations by cutting and splitting trees into cordwood for firewood. This physically demanding position requires using chainsaws and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Ideal candidates will have experience in forestry or logging and a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate chainsaws and other forestry tools.
• Sort and stack cordwood according to size and quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and attend regular training sessions.
• Assist in forestry management tasks as required.
• Monitor and report on environmental conditions that may impact operations.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but experience in forestry is advantageous.

Experience

• Previous experience in forestry or logging preferred, but not essential.
