Broadcasting Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Broadcasting Equipment Mechanic who will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various broadcasting equipment, including cameras, microphones, and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of broadcasting systems, playing a crucial role in our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of broadcasting equipment.
• Work closely with other technicians to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure all equipment functions properly during broadcasts.
• Follow industry best practices and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Electronics, or a related field
• Certifications in IOSH or equivalent safety training are highly desirable.

Experience

• Experience with live broadcasting environments is highly advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Experience with video editing software
• Familiarity with audio signal processing

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills

Advantageous

• Experience with specific broadcasting equipment brands: Experience with brands such as Sony, Panasonic, or similar is preferred.
• Understanding of IP-based broadcasting technologies: Knowledge of how IP networks operate within broadcasting contexts.
