We are currently seeking an Insurance Underwriter to join our Southampton team. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications and assess risks to determine appropriate coverage terms and premiums. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyse clients' risk profiles based on application data.
• Communicate decisions clearly to clients, agents, and brokers.
• Evaluate claims history to inform underwriting decisions.
• Implement best practices in risk management and underwriting processes.
• Attend industry conferences and training to stay current in the field.
• Recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies for clients.
• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
• Master's degree or specific insurance qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry
