Job Description

We are seeking skilled Remote Sensing Scientists and Technologists to operate small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) to perform aerial surveys and collect vital data. The ideal candidate will be adept at data analysis and have a strong understanding of aviation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance checks on unmanned aircraft systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Utilise data collection tools and software for effective analysis and reporting.
• Develop and implement flight plans for data acquisition that meets project goals.
• Assist with training and mentoring new team members on sUAS operation techniques.
• Identify improvements and modifications for existing processes to increase data accuracy.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored aerial solutions.
• Support the integration of new technologies into existing workflows.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience operating small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS)

Technical Skills

• Remote Pilot Certificate (FAA Part 107 or equivalent)
• GIS Software Proficiency

Certifications

• GIS Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation or related field: Educational background supporting technical understanding of UAS operations.
• Experience with GIS mapping and analysis: Familiarity with mapping software to interpret and report data.
