Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Architect/Design Lead to spearhead creative projects in our Edinburgh office. In this role, you will lead a talented team of designers, collaborate with clients, and ensure that our projects not only meet but exceed client expectations. Your expertise in architectural design and your ability to translate complex ideas into innovative solutions will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the design strategy for diverse architectural projects.
  • Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure design excellence through rigorous quality control processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced architectural software for design presentations.
  • Lead project meetings, keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Analyze project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Advocate for sustainable design practices.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and proposals.
  • Represent the firm at public hearings and community meetings.

Requirements

Education
  • RIBA Part 1 qualification or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Architecture is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience, including supervisory roles

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • AWARD Certification in Sustainable Design
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
