Carpenter\'s Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a Carpenter's Helper to support our skilled carpenters in various woodworking tasks. The successful candidate will assist in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials, playing a vital role in our carpentry projects.

Responsibilities

• Support carpenters in measuring and preparing raw materials.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment regularly.
• Help with the construction of wooden structures and framework.
• Keep the work site clean and organised.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the installation of cabinetry and furniture.
• Participate in training sessions to develop carpentry skills.
• Move materials and tools to designated areas as directed.
• Work collaboratively with the carpentry team.
• Document daily tasks and report to the head carpenter.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry is advantageous.

Experience

• No prior experience necessary, but experience in construction or woodworking is desirable.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment
• Basic math skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with scaffolding and roofing structures: Hands-on experience in constructing and erecting scaffolding and roofing.
• Relevant vocational training in carpentry: Any prior training or courses related to carpentry and woodworking.
