Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, with excellent surgical skills and a commitment to animal care. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions in our furry patients, providing both medical and surgical treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose health issues and provide treatment options for animals.
  • Execute complex surgical procedures and monitor recovery.
  • Educate pet owners on best practices for animal health and wellness.
  • Oversee medication administration and treatment procedures.
  • Participate in case management discussions with the veterinary team.
  • Contribute to the development of clinic protocols and policies.
  • Foster a compassionate environment for both animals and clients.
  • Manage emergency cases and make quick decisions.
  • Engage in community outreach programs related to animal welfare.
  • Collaborate with specialists for advanced animal care needs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate qualifications are beneficial
Experience
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in veterinary facilities
