Job Description

Join our team as a Credit Union Field Examiner, responsible for on-site audits aimed at assessing credit unions' financial health. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits to assess the financial accuracy of credit unions.
• Review internal control systems for potential vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of credit union processes.
• Document findings and prepare actionable reports for stakeholders.
• Stay informed about emerging regulations and best practices.
• Provide expert advice on improving compliance practices.
• Conduct workshops to enhance staff understanding of compliance obligations.
• Monitor key performance metrics related to financial health.
• Assist in the implementation of policies designed to reduce risk.
• Support the implementation of new technology to improve audit processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CCUFC are preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing financial institutions
