Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Printing Plate Setter to join our dynamic production team. Your role will involve preparing, mounting, and setting up printing plates for various printing processes, ensuring accuracy and quality in each print run.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up printing plates based on job specifications.
• Ensure correct alignment and registration of printing plates.
• Monitor the print quality during runs and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect and clean plates post-usage to guarantee optimum performance.
• Work with graphic designers to interpret job requirements accurately.
• Keep the plate storage organised and manage inventory effectively.
• Participate in safety audits and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the development of best practices within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Experience with different types of printing plates (e.g., lithographic, flexographic, gravure) preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Digital prepress systems
• Troubleshooting

• Communication
