Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Soil Science Technician to join our passionate team in Wigan. This role involves hands-on work in the field as well as laboratory analysis, focusing on soil quality assessments and environmental impact studies. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of soil science principles and experience in data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage soil testing projects.
  • Collaborate on grant applications for environmental studies.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss project progress.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or a related field
  • Master's degree in Soil Science is highly regarded
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a relevant position, preferably in environmental consultancy
