Job Description

As a Hazardous Materials Removal Worker, you will play a vital role in safely managing and disposing of hazardous substances. You will respond to incidents requiring hazardous material removal, follow safety protocols, and work with a team of professionals to ensure a safe process.

Responsibilities

  • Remove hazardous materials from sites while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine inspections of work sites for potential hazards.
  • Use protective gear and equipment properly during the removal process.
  • Prepare materials for transport and disposal in accordance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with emergency services when required.
  • Document and report on the progress of hazardous material management.
  • Train new staff on safety practices and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and workshops.
  • Assist in creating safety documentation for hazardous materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials removed and disposed of.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification in Hazardous Materials Management is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in a related field is essential.
