Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Sheffield team. This role involves designing and analysing mechanical systems, contributing to project development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to overcome technical challenges. The successful candidate will have experience in CAD software and a passion for engineering innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and provide technical expertise on projects.
• Develop project proposals and support business development initiatives.
• Implement engineering changes based on testing and feedback.
• Document all project phases and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure technical specifications are met and provide solutions for failures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems design

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with robotics systems: Background in designing or implementing robotic systems.
