Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for design and innovation. You will be instrumental in the product development process, ensuring our designs meet both client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs for new products.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure project milestones are met.
• Analyze design performance and implement design improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice.
• Review and approve engineering work submissions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide support in their development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering

Technical Skills

• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Familiarity with engineering materials and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and dynamics

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with thermal analysis tools: Knowledge of simulation software for thermal performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with IoT integration for mechanical systems: Experience with incorporating IoT technologies into mechanical designs.
