Job Description

We are in search of a passionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will work closely with individuals facing substance use disorders, providing counselling, support, and guidance. This role involves developing treatment plans, facilitating group sessions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling services to individuals and groups struggling with substance misuse.
  • Evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans as required.
  • Organise community programs aimed at reducing substance abuse.
  • Promote a supportive and non-judgmental environment for clients.
  • Participate in case management meetings and client reviews.
  • Offer guidance and support to clients' families.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Engage in self-care and professional development activities.
  • Utilise evidence-based practices in treatment delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in counselling or therapeutic settings
