Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various industries, focusing on quality and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating technical drawings and collaborating with engineering teams, ensuring projects meet timelines and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design piping layouts and develop system specifications.
• Conduct pressure drop calculations and analyze fluid dynamics to optimize designs.
• Ensure that all designs meet company and local regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to integrate designs with overall project plans.
• Generate 3D models and simulations for complex piping systems.
• Review and refine technical drawings for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the design process.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving during the construction phase.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for projects.
• Present design concepts and updates in client meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in piping design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• PLM Software

• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Experience: Experience managing projects from conception through to completion.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools: Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project or Asana.
