Job Description
Join our team as a Soil Conservationist, focusing on sustainable land management and soil preservation in Wigan. You will work towards developing strategies that support community involvement and soil health improvement.
Responsibilities
Evaluate soil types and conditions to inform conservation efforts.
Implement erosion control measures and restoration projects.
Conduct workshops and outreach programs to raise awareness of soil conservation.
Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for conservation initiatives.
Work with interdisciplinary teams to address regional environmental challenges.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of ongoing conservation projects.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
Master's degree is preferred
Experience
3+ years of experience in soil conservation or environmental management
