Job Description

Join our team as a Soil Conservationist, focusing on sustainable land management and soil preservation in Wigan. You will work towards developing strategies that support community involvement and soil health improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate soil types and conditions to inform conservation efforts.
  • Implement erosion control measures and restoration projects.
  • Conduct workshops and outreach programs to raise awareness of soil conservation.
  • Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for conservation initiatives.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to address regional environmental challenges.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of ongoing conservation projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
