We are seeking a skilled Shake Backboard Notcher to join our manufacturing team. The role involves operating machinery to precisely cut notches in wooden backboards for shake siding installations. Candidates should have attention to detail and experience in machinery operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the setup and calibration of backboard notching machines to ensure accurate cuts.
• Monitor the manufacturing process and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Maintain comprehensive records of production metrics and machine performance.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to address workflow changes.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to machinery operation.
• Assist in developing and implementing production schedules that meet business needs.
• Support new employees during their onboarding process to ensure smooth integration.
• Conduct quality control checks regularly to uphold product standards.

Requirements

Education

• Experience in shake siding or the construction industry is advantageous.

Experience

• Experience operating woodworking machinery in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
