Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Legal Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Leeds. This role involves conducting thorough legal research, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and providing valuable insights to safeguard our organisation's legal standing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on the company's compliance performance metrics.
  • Lead compliance training sessions for new hires and existing staff.
  • Evaluate and manage compliance risks in business operations.
  • Assist in preparing materials for compliance reviews and meetings.
  • Draft internal communications regarding compliance updates and policies.
  • Engage in external networking to stay current with best practices in compliance.
  • Identify and implement tools to enhance compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits as required.
  • Collaborate with external regulators and auditors as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support for compliance-related questions and concerns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Law
  • JD or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in legal or compliance roles.
