DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Leeds team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of cloud technologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. You will play a vital role in streamlining operations and improving system reliability, ensuring our development and production environments run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability and scalability of production systems.
• Analyse system logs and metrics to improve performance.
• Facilitate the adoption of cloud-native technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
• Collaborate with teams to build a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Monitoring Tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Google Cloud Certified - Professional DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with serverless architecture: Understanding of serverless computing and related services.
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments: Knowledge of cloud security concepts and practices.
