Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Damper Fitter to join our skilled team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing dampers in various industrial and commercial settings, ensuring optimal HVAC performance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out damper installations and repairs ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues within damper systems to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used.
• Work with other team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration on projects.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant support.
• Utilise relevant tools and equipment for damper fitting tasks effectively and safely.
• Monitor the performance of installed dampers and proactively suggest improvements.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet safety and performance standards.
• Participate in continuous training and professional development initiatives.
• Remain apprised of legislative changes and updates affecting HVAC practices.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical qualification in HVAC systems

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in the HVAC or damper fitting industry.

Technical Skills

• Hand and power tools proficiency
• Preventative maintenance

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Refrigeration handling certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of building regulations: Familiarity with the latest building regulations and safety standards in HVAC.
• Experience in HVAC installations: Proven experience in parts of HVAC installations beyond damper fitting.
